Albion Hills Conservation Area

If you’ve got the time and inclination to head a little out of town for your Canada Day celebrations this year, consider Albion Hills Conservation Area, located just outside of Toronto in Caledon. It's worth the drive, as you can participate in archery lessons, tractor rides and wood carving demonstrations. There are a splash pad and swimming pool that the kids will love, as well as a hearty selection of food trucks for your refreshment and plenty of hiking trails around the park. The event ends with more Canada Day fireworks.

Toronto Ribfest

Do you love Ribs? Make plans to attend Toronto Ribfest in Centennial Park, which runs for the duration of the Canada Day long weekend. This Toronto Canada Day 2019 event isn’t just about the food (which is top-notch!). There is live music, magic shows, celebrity food judging contests and a midway that is fun for the whole family. Canada Day caps off with an impressive fireworks display.

Black Creek Pioneer Village

Canada has 152 years of history to look back upon. Do you wonder what it was like for Canadians back in 1867? Participate in the “Party Like it is 1867” event at Black Creek Pioneer Village in North York. There will be musicians, theatrical performances and carnival games. There are hands-on exhibits to learn about what life was like in 1867. There is also a citizenship ceremony for new Canadians. Admission is free (there is a small charge for parking).

Redpath Toronto Waterfront Festival

For a truly majestic Toronto Canada Day 2019 experience, visit the Redpath Toronto Waterfront Festival along the revitalized Toronto Waterfront, in H20 Park, near Queen’s Quay. This festival runs from June 29th to July 1st. The highlight of this festival is the arrival of a fleet of tall ships that will be docked from Bathurst to Bay St. This is one of only five stops in Ontario for these impressive tall ships, so don’t miss out! There are limited tickets available for purchase to tour the ships for each day of the festival.

Queen’s Park

Head downtown this Toronto Canada Day 2019 to attend the family-friendly, all-ages celebration at Queen’s Park. One of the highlights will be a 21-gun salute at high noon. There will be activities, music and entertainment all day long at this free Toronto Canada Day 2019 event.
